Your chauffeur meets you at Dubai International and drives you to a five-star hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road or in Downtown. The rest of the day is unstructured so you can beat the jet lag, but the Dubai Fountain and the Souk Al Bahar terrace are a ten-minute walk from most of the properties we use.

Morning at the Museum of the Future, the calligraphy-clad torus on Sheikh Zayed Road, where the OSS Hope space-station floor and the Al Waha wellness floor are the two worth queuing for. After lunch you take the SKY lift to the Burj Khalifa's 148th floor, the highest observation deck in the building, with a lounge service and a separate 125th-floor terrace on the way down. The evening closes with tea at At.mosphere on the 122nd.

A guided morning through Al Fahidi's wind-tower lanes, the Creek by abra and the Gold and Spice Souks, then up the Dubai Frame for the split view of old city and new. At four your own Land Cruiser leaves for the Al Marmoom conservation reserve — no shared camp, no queue for the camels. Dinner is a private table at a Bedouin-style camp with falconry and a live oud set.

Afternoon at Louvre Abu Dhabi under Jean Nouvel's rain-of-light dome, then the throne room and Great Hall of Qasr Al Watan before you check in on the Corniche.

A full day on Yas Island at Ferrari World, where Formula Rossa still holds the record as the world's fastest roller coaster at 240 kmph. The Flying Aces and Turbo Track rides carry height limits, so smaller children have the Junior GT circuit and the Bell'Italia ride instead. On the way back, the chauffeur loops past the Yas Marina F1 circuit and Emirates Palace.

The 124th floor is the standard deck and can get crowded. SKY on the 148th is a separate lift, a much smaller deck at 555 metres with an outdoor terrace, a hosted lounge with refreshments, and the 125th-floor deck included on the way down. This package uses SKY.
Yes, and it is enforced. Ankles, wrists and shoulders must be covered, and women must cover their hair. Nothing sheer or tight fitting. Abayas used to be lent free at the entrance but that has been discontinued, so carry a long kurta and a dupatta or scarf.
Yes, and it is what we recommend — the last two nights are in Abu Dhabi, so an open-jaw ticket saves you a two-hour drive back. The airfare line covers either routing and the chauffeur drops you at whichever airport your ticket says.
Because it is not the same trip. Theirs is a coach tour with the standard Burj deck. Ours holds a private chauffeur for six days and adds SKY 148, the Museum of the Future, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan and Ferrari World. Bought separately those five tickets alone cost more than the gap.
