Land at Changi, clear the automated immigration gates and transfer to the hotel around Bugis or Little India. In the evening the group walks the OCBC Skyway at Gardens by the Bay and stays for the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show at the Supertree Grove, which runs at 7.45 and 8.45 pm and is free.

A morning city tour past the Merlion, the Padang, Chinatown's Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Little India's Sri Veeramakaliamman. Afternoon inside the two conservatories at Gardens by the Bay — the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest with its 35-metre indoor waterfall. The day ends on the SkyPark observation deck on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands.

Check out and cross the Tuas Second Link into Johor, then north on the North–South Expressway to Kuala Lumpur, about five hours with a lunch halt at Tangkak. Immigration is done twice, once out of Singapore and once into Malaysia, so keep passports handy. Evening free at Bukit Bintang and the Jalan Alor food street.

Stop at Batu Caves on the way out of the city — 272 painted steps under the 43-metre Murugan statue, into a limestone cavern with a working temple inside. Then the Awana SkyWay cable car climbs 3.4 km to Genting at 1,800 metres, where the air drops to about 18°C. The evening is free at SkyAvenue mall and the indoor theme park.

Breakfast in the clouds, then the cable car down and a ninety-minute drive to Kuala Lumpur International for the flight home. If there is time the coach stops at a chocolate and pewter outlet on the Karak highway, which is the standard last-day souvenir halt.

Not at present. Malaysia has waived visas for Indian passport holders for stays up to 30 days under the arrangement in force at the time of writing; you only file the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card. Singapore still needs an e-visa, which we obtain for you.
Yes. The park has seven zones and about twenty rides, and a normal family covers it in eight hours if you enter at opening. Weekends and Malaysian school holidays are the crowded days; our departures avoid them where possible.
Around 16 to 22°C through the year, and often misty. A light jacket or shawl is enough. Take it out of your suitcase before you leave Kuala Lumpur — the cable car ride itself is chilly.
